Here’s a list of Utah schools canceled, delayed because of the windstorm

School closures and delays due to the power outages across the northern part of the state

Utah residents experienced power outages Tuesday morning as high winds rushed through the northern part of the state overnight, and now schools remain closed, KSL.com reports.

58,000 outages were reported Tuesday morning, according to Rocky Mountain Power.

The power outages and wildfires in the area have led to schools across the region to cancel or delay classes.

The following schools have closures or delays due to the weather:

Closed:

Davis School District
Highmark Charter in South Weber

Nuames High School Ogden and Layton campuses
Ogden School District
Weber School District

Spectrum Academy in North Salt Lake

City Academy in Salt Lake City (remote only)

Delayed:

Cache School District (two hours)

Weber State University (until 12 p.m.)
