Ventura County Fair opens to happy crowds and happy piglets

Rides light up the night at the Ventura County fair...

The 147th Ventura County Fair opened to happy throngs after a two-year delay due to the pandemic, and today, Sunday, Aug. 7, visitors are offered a vast array of rides, food, and entertainment at the Ventura County Fairgrounds and Event Center.

Whether you love visiting the tiny piglets, or enjoying the midway carnival and games, there’s literally something for everyone at this popular and much-missed fair. Fairgoers can admire art, visit the livestock exhibits, and enjoy savory and sweet food specialties, daily through Aug. 14.
