UCLA freshman Peyton Watson gambled on himself and it paid off.
The former Long Beach Poly High star was selected by the Denver Nuggets with the final pick of the first round of the NBA draft on Thursday night, 30th overall.
Despite only averaging 3.3 points and 2.9 assists over 12.7 minutes per game during his one season at UCLA, the athletic 6-foot-8 forward saw his dreams come true.
Much more to come on this story.
