EasyJet will cut more flights this summer as transport chaos continues to disrupt plans for UK travellers.
The budget airline said this morning it was axing scheduled journeys to help manage operational problems – including staff shortages in ground handling and flight caps at London Gatwick and Amsterdam.
The company says it now expects its capacity in this quarter to be around 87% of 2019 levels, and in its fourth quarter to end-September to be around 90%.
It added that there would be a ‘cost impact’ from the disruption – hinting that passengers could see price rises.
