The Duke of York has been pictured in the back of a vehicle leaving his home in Windsor, the first public sighting of him since yesterday’s court ruling.
A judge in America ruled that Virginia Guiffre’s sex assault lawsuit against him could continue, meaning he faces the prospect of a civil trial.
One of the few options open to Prince Andrew to avoid this is to try and reach an out-of-court settlement, rumoured to be millions of pounds.
But her lawyer has indicated that his accuser wants to be ‘vindicated’ by the legal process and is not motivated by reaching a ‘purely financial settlement’.
